Van Der Kooij’s Bridal Edit is a curated selection of pieces that blend traditional bridal elements with contemporary design. Highlights include the Rosa Silk Mini Dress, featuring a voluminous skirt with tulip pleats, and the Franka Silk Gown, known for its dramatic V-silhouette and cascading train. Each piece is made to order in Melbourne, allowing for bespoke adjustments to ensure a perfect fit for your special day.

Our silk features a subtle slubbed texture, a result of its manufacturing process that utilises minimally processed, naturally slubbed yarn. This method results in charming textural variations with twists and knots that uniquely enhance the fabric. This deliberate effect adds distinctive character to the material and should not be mistaken for a flaw in the garment. Each piece is made to order in our Melbourne studio, with a focus on silhouette, fabric and line. The process is personal and paced, shaped by conversation and guided by a shared attention to detail.

Our long-term goal is to provide products of the highest quality while having as little impact on the environment as possible. We are committed to continually assessing and improving our practices, and with each season we are refining our processes, building relationships with local makers and creating a more sustainable supply chain

We are proudly made in Australia with the exception of our fully-fashioned knitwear styles. Our focus on local production substantially reduces our carbon footprint and gives us greater control over the production to help ensure it is as sustainable as possible. Each and every Van Der Kooij garment is hand finished in our studio and a record of its limited production is inscribed inside each garment. This not only reduces excess stock and wastage but highlights the exclusivity of our products.
